About Lismenary

"You need to see where Elizabeth works, it helped all our stress melt away and we could benefit from her therapy skills."

Face to face appointments take place at Lismenary Therapy, a private speech and language / counselling therapy  practice. Set in a calm, rural location, the building is a beautifully renovated barn, with soft red brick and stone. This unique setting has a reassuring feel of home, which serves instantly to relax people and reduce stress. There is plenty of space for free car parking.

The interior has been converted into a modern purpose-built clinic. Everything is on the same level, with wide doors, a curved passageway and a toilet designed for wheelchair users so they can move around easily. The therapy room is large, quiet and warm with calm décor and no distractions.

In February, the garden is a carpet of white snowdrops. Snowdrops primarily symbolize hope, rebirth and the arrival of spring, often representing the triumph of light over winter darkness. As one of the earliest flowers to bloom, they signify purity, innocence, and resilience. They are also associated with consolation, sympathy, and new beginnings.

All assessment and therapy appointments are available Face to face or online. Although face-to-face is best, therapy via Zoom is a very close second! Please feel free to get in touch to discuss how screens can enable us to work effectively together. Clients may choose to be seen in the clinic. Following an initial conversation we decide together whether face-to-face or online is most appropriate.

Lismenary Therapy is convenient to reach from anywhere in the East Antrim and North Belfast areas. However, my services are available to anyone willing and able to travel! You are welcome to come and have a look around, free of charge. By appointment only. I can travel to visit clients at home/nursing homes. Travel fees apply - details on request.

Client Stories

Her kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care meant more to me than words can express. She helped me understand how my brain responds to trauma in a way that finally made sense, and she showed me that what I experienced did not have to define my future. For the first time in a long time, I no longer feel controlled by fear. The practical, simple strategies...
