About Lismenary

"You need to see where Elizabeth works, it helped all our stress melt away and we could benefit from her therapy skills."

During the Covid-19  period, all assessment and therapy appointments are available online. Although face-to-face is best, therapy via Zoom is a very close second! Please feel free to get in touch to discuss how screens can enable us to work effectively together. Clients with no underlying health conditions may be seen in the COVID secure clinic. Social distancing, good hand hygiene and a perspex screen enable us to comply with the guidelines. Following an individual risk assessment we decide whether face-to-face or online is most appropriate.

Under normal circumstances, appointments take place at Lismenary Therapy, a private speech and language / counselling therapy  practice. The building is a beautifully renovated barn, with soft red brick and stone. This unique setting has a reassuring feel of home, which serves instantly to relax people and reduce stress. There is plenty of space for free car parking.

The interior has been converted into a modern purpose-built clinic. Everything is on the same level, with wide doors, a curved passageway and a toilet designed for wheelchair users so they can move around easily. The therapy room is large, quiet with under-floor heating, calm décor and no distractions.

Lismenary Therapy is convenient to reach from anywhere in the East Antrim and North Belfast areas. However, my services are available to anyone willing and able to travel! You are welcome to come and have a look around, free of charge. By appointment only. I can travel to visit clients at home/nursing homes. Travel fees apply - details on request.

Client Stories

To combat this Elizabeth focused largely on positive self talk and self reasoning using varying techniques.  This has allowed me to be much more content within myself, more present in the moment, and less focused on my stammer. I have now stopped avoiding situations and words and focus on taking part in life and doing what I want to...
